Stratokatzter Bengals is excited to enter into a partnership with longtime innovator in pet nutrition, Nestle Purina. Purina was founded in 1904 by pet care visionary, William H Danforth, as he sought to make improve companion pet nutrition for animal lovers. As the vision continues 120 years later, Purina’s Global Purpose is: Creating richer lives for pets and the people who love them. Purina’s purpose builds on their heritage and their belief: When pets and people bond, life becomes richer #WeAreBetterWithPets.

Together in partnership with TICA, Purina sought to bring well bred cats from select breeds into their Purina Pet Care Center in St. Joseph, MO where they will be engaged with a team of veterinarians, trainers, animal behavioral experts and caregivers to work to improve products designed to improve the lives of pets across the globe through product development, enrichment and excellence in animal nutrition and animal care. In addition to their animal husbandry practices, we recognized Purina’s work in the communities they serve with world class pet therapy programs to local hospitals and long term care facilities, provisioning pet supplies in times of disasters as well as providing for much needed food and supplies for many animal shelters. Nestle Purina also has an excellent human rights record based on inclusion and equality as well as responsible sourcing food products used in their products for animals, at least 98-100 percent are ingredients sourced in the US. Furthermore, we were able to tour their facilities to ensure they met our high standards.

We are excited to answer Purina’s call for Stratokatzter Bengals genetically diverse, well bred, healthy bengal kittens to be part of this exciting program. After researching Purina as a possible prospect, we concluded Purina utilizes pet appropriate procedures that meet high standards of excellence in veterinary care; none include invasive techniques their harm their dogs and cats. In their facilities, they maintain pleasant settings where staff and pets bond, work and play. Purina believes every one of their resident pets deserves the kind of care that a loving owner gives. Purina’s on-site veterinarians offer comprehensive health services, and all of their pets are coupled with devoted, well-trained caregivers who interact with them every day. Each of their pets has a name, receives individual attention, and is treated with respect and affection by the entire staff. Socialization and daily interaction are integral in Purina’s pet enrichment programs, which include training, group play and free access to toys. When a resident pet reaches the point of retirement, Purina’s Pet Care Center Adoption Program places it with a carefully matched family for many more years of a mutually rewarding relationship.

Stratokatzter Bengals is excited to be providing two kittens to this amazing program. We look forward to hearing more about how our kittens have contributed to this important work to better the lives of cats and people across the globe.
