Stratokatzter Bengals is excited to share with our friends and followers that our show team, Stratokatzter Wicked Games (Maggie Mae) and Stratokatzter I Drink Alone (Solo) competed in Norfolk. VA at the TICA International Annual Cat Show held August 31-September 1, 2024.

This show is the largest, most prestigious show of the year showcasing exhibitor’s cats and kittens from around the world with well over 300 exhibits in attendance. This is the Westminster of the Cat World!

Maggie Mae and Solo competed in the kitten class and received numerous high placements including numerous second and third best of breeds with each one bringing home one best of breed. Maggie Mae received a Best of Breed in Connie Webb/Jessica Petras ring while Solo received a Best of Breed in LindaJean Gillio’s ring. All judges who offered feedback praised Maggie’s perfect head shape, ear placement and exotic, wild look while citing the youngest of entries, Solo’s, magnificent nocturnal eyes.

It was a barely 4 month old Stratokatzter I Drink Alone who stole the heart of LindaJean Grillo as she placed him SECOND BEST ALLBREED KITTEN in a field of 103 kittens. LindaJean cited his incredibly special wild look with low placed muzzle with wide nose giving way to huge nocturnal eyes, small rounded ears which is the total essence of the wild cat. She pulled me aside and congratulated me, telling me how special he was and how on point he was with a wild cat enamored by his very chiseled and feminine features which gave him a true wildcat appearance. She emphasized in a world where wildcat extinction exits, this is the only opportunity outside of the wild we have where we can create a domestic cat which looks totally wild. It totally made the trip back East worth it.

We plan to continue showing Solo as long as he will agree to it. This is only the beginning for him as he will show as a kitten until Mid December. After that he will show as an adult and be eligible for titles. We are looking forward to a great show run with Solo!

As a registered, professional cattery, and preservation breeder it is important we have our cats and kittens judged against the written breed standard which exemplifies excellence in breeding, health and temperament gaining knowledge and feedback though this process. We encourage prospective kitten buyers to utilize TICA’s online resources when choosing a cattery to select their next bengal from. We would also are forever grateful for the breeders who entrusted us with their years of hard work to develop such lovely cats. Thank you to Donna Bluford at Kangchenjunga Bengals, Carmen Klassen at Jewelspride Bengals and Jaen Treesinger of Rainforest Bengals who helped in the creation of these two beautiful kittens.
